Aaron Webster is the founder and Managing Partner of both Ballast Partners LLC (Ballast), a rail leasing company, and Brownsville GTR LLC (BGTR), a distributor of refined fuels. Ballast and BGTR’s platforms support one another in the Texas Gulf Coast and have grown into the largest independent distributor of refined fuels servicing the Mexican market in the region. Formed in late 2017, Ballast has grown its fleet from 105 cars at inception to approximately 2,000 rail cars today and has maintained a utilization rate of over 94% of the fleet throughout its operating existence.
Prior to pursuing various individual initiatives, Webster worked with Jefferies & Co, an NYC-based investment bank covering a large portion of the upstream energy sector. In his time there, Webster completed both public and private financings in both the equity and debt markets, private M&A transactions, and various other creative financing mechanisms to support the development of existing assets for clients as well as to support the pursuit of acquisition targets in both the private and public arenas.
In addition to Enterprise, Webster sits on the boards of Dearman Systems, a terminal automation software company, and the Broach Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose focus is to raise dollars to support the advancement of brain cancer research and treatments at MD Anderson in Houston, TX.
Webster graduated from Bucknell University in 2001 with a BA in Economics and Political Science.
