Candido K. Viyella is the President of Earthview Capital. Viyella started his career in the corporate finance and lending area with Chase Manhattan Bank and was stationed in several Latin American countries. After the 80s debt restructurings, Viyella shifted his career focus to the investment banking and securities industry, working with financial institutions, corporations, pension funds, ultra-high-net-worth families, and family offices. He has extensive work experience as a managing director with multiple renowned securities companies. During his 32 years in the securities industry, he qualified in 28 years as a top Chairman’s Council Advisor across various firms, including Smith Barney, Prudential Securities, UBS, and Morgan Stanley. Given his family’s diverse business and personal interests, Viyella has had numerous business affiliations throughout this period.
More recently, since 2020, Viyella has been an active investor in the beverage industry, focused on emerging companies, including Celsius and Odyssey Wellness. Since 2021, his family-owned entity, Earthview Brands Inc., has become an industry consolidator, also assisting in the creation of new brands. This has led to bringing three new brands to market across different segments in the last 24 months.
An active philanthropist and early believer in realizing the global potential of Miami, Viyella supports many local organizations, including the Jackson Health Foundation, of which he is a Past Chairman, FIU Foundation, where he is on the Board of Directors, History Miami Museum Past Board of Trustees Member, the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation, Miami Heat Charitable Fund, Frost Art Museum as Past Board Member, and the Fisher Island Philanthropic Fund. He was Chairman of the Host Committee of the 2003 Latin GRAMMY Awards, was active in bringing Art Basel to Miami Beach, and sponsored numerous Miami-based sporting events. For his community service through his tenure as Chairman of the Board of Jackson Health Foundation during the Covid Pandemic, Viyella was recognized by Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and Senator Rick Scott with the Pandemic Meritorious Community Service Award at the April 30, 2021, South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Awards.
Viyella graduated with an Honours Business Administration Degree, with a concentration in finance and an Econometrics minor, from Ivey Business at Western University in Canada.
