Teachers begin the program by participating in a five-day, in-person seminar at Florida International University, hosted by the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom.
Each day focuses on a key chapter in American History, from the founding ideals of the nation to the ongoing effort to expand and fulfill those principles. The seminars feature:
- Expert lectures from scholars in history, constitutional law, and civics
- Interactive discussions and collaborative learning experiences
- Hands-on analysis of primary source documents
- Instructional strategies teachers can immediately use in their classrooms
- A daily take-away classroom lesson or activity
Participants leave each session with practical tools, lesson ideas, and deeper historical insight.
