Helen Aguirre Ferre
Administrator of the State and Local Government Program
Helen Aguirre Ferre is the Administrator of the State and Local Government Program for the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom. She is a bilingual government affairs and communications executive with extensive experience in public policy, institutional leadership, and strategic engagement at the state and national levels.
Helen has served as Assistant Advisor to the President and Director of Media Affairs at the White House in the first Donald J. Trump administration, where she was also the Spanish-language spokesperson. Helen was Director of Communications for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Helen also served as Executive Director of the Republican Party of Florida, where she oversaw organizational operations, coalition development, and strategic planning across multiple regions. In addition, as a former journalist, Helen has extensive experience in media in print, radio, and television across English and Spanish language platforms.
As Administrator of Government and Public Policy for Adam Smith, she focuses on advancing research, dialogue, and policy engagement initiatives that promote economic freedom, institutional excellence, and informed public discourse.
