Martin J. Silverstein

Diplomat and Attorney, USA Ambassador Martin J. Silverstein is senior counsel with the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig in the global corporate practice. He earned his LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, J.D. from Temple University Law School, and BA from Rutgers College.

Silverstein served four years as United States Ambassador to Uruguay during the historic period of regional economic crises, and the heightened security environment of the post 9-11 attacks. For his exceptional dedication to duty, he was decorated by both the United States and Uruguay, including being the sole American recipient of Uruguay’s highest national honor.
