Neil Ramsay, The Creative Economist. A people-centric business professional, educator, and connector bringing together people, ideas, and concepts with synergy within economics, art, and design. He Maintains persistent and practical value-adding engagement and participates in public/private initiatives and committees seeking to influence positive economic and social outcomes. Ramsay works in Miami and New York City.
Ramsay is the creative economy research advisor faculty-affiliate to the nonpartisan economic policy think tank. He is Mentor-in-Residence at FIU Ratcliffe Art + Design Incubator. Ramsay’s area of focus is creative practitioners in the free market economy. Ramsay observes the value of the creative practitioner, “artist-thinkers,” as he calls it, in labor markets, in contrast to artwork in commodity markets. Ramsay’s interest is exploring, discovering, and observing these sub-economies for creative economic outcomes that could provide insight into policymaking.
