Ashley Perez

Office Assistant

Ashley Perez assists with all student programs and events at the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom.

Throughout her academic career at FIU, she held many leadership positions, such as a Big Brother Big Sister Miami mentor, Director of Programming for Black History Month in the Black Student Union, and Associate Justice in the Student Government Association, where she worked tirelessly to foster an accepting environment on campus. Additionally, she is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

As a first-generation college student, Ashley’s parents instilled in her the importance of education and pushed her to excel academically. She hopes to attend law school, become a criminal defense attorney, and manage and operate a non-profit organization.

Ashley is a recent graduate of Florida International University, where she received a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in Criminal Justice, a minor in Political Science, and a certificate in Latin American & Caribbean Studies.
